It is fitting that our final exhibition at Art by the Sea gallery is one that will acknowledge the wairua (spirit) that Duders Building in Te Haukapua (Devonport) has provided us. It is also an oportunity to thank the people of Devonport for their invaluable support throughout the 29 years that we have occupied this special place.
Do please come along to share in this experience and to tell us some of the stories you remember of the gallery and/or the artists. There will be a Powhiri, music, food provided by the wonderful people of Platters next door
and of course the extraordinary mahi toi of Joe Kemp tohunga whakairo.
