An exhibition of contemporary whakairo (carving) by
Joe Kemp (Ngai Tahu, Ngapuhi and Te Arawa (Ngati Makino)
February 27 - March 31
Opening and mihi (artist's talk) Saturday February 27 4pm
It is fitting that our final exhibition at Art by the Sea gallery is one that will acknowledge the wairua (spirit) that Duders Building in Te Haukapua (Devonport) has provided us. It is also an oportunity to thank the people of Devonport for their invaluable support throughout the 29 years that we have occupied this special place.
Below are pictured a small collection of the works. More will be uploaded closer to the opening.
