Holly Haines: A Journey in Oils

7 October - 25 October 2023. This collection of work is a reflection of Holly’s journey and experiences over the past year. A key theme of this exhibition is the exploration of new places through the interplay of colour, light and sky. Broad expansive landscapes express the rugged wildness of Scotland, while snapshots of urban scenes hold the essence of a moment in time. The landscapes featured in this collection use the sky as a backdrop to set the tone for the entire composition. The sky is not only an expanse of space, but also a window into the deeper emotions embodied in the landscape.
